Happy Lunar New Year’s Eve
Happy Lunar New Year’s Eve!
Families have celebrated Lunar New Year’s Eve for over 3,500 years. For many, it is the biggest holiday of the year complete with food, family, and festivities for good fortune.
Prior to the most important holiday of the year, families clean their houses, sweep away ill fortune, and make room for incoming good luck. The day of the event, millions gather with their loved ones to watch fireworks, wear lucky color red, and give out cash-filled red envelopes for prosperity.
Of course, New Year’s Eve dinner is the highlight. The celebration would not be complete without mountains of oranges, dumplings, rice cakes, fish, and longevity noodles eaten for a bountiful and prosperous new year.
